Bengal Cat Breed Profile
Temperament: Bengal’s are loveable, loyal, fearless cats that love to climb, jump and play in water, you may even get a surprise and find they will join you in the shower or in the tub! They adore children and the elderly.
Care: Minimal grooming is needed to care for this cat breed.
General Information: The Bengal is a gorgeous cat with a shiny camouflage coat; amazing physical prowess and they are extremely intelligent. Bengal’s come in a variety of colors and two patterns of markings.
The Bengal's most defining characteristic is its spotted or marbled coat with thick, pelt-like fur. The spotted breed has spots that appear randomly or in horizontal patterns. They stand out in extreme contrast to the background color, which may be a bright shade of tan, gold, or mahogany.
Marbled cats have horizontal stripes arranged randomly, like waves of color running through a piece of lighter-colored marble.
They are playful, calm, curious dog-like creatures. They can be trained to walk on a leash, retrieve objects and many of them actually like water! Bengal’s make fun, affectionate pets and are great with children, dogs and other animals.
