Bombay Cat Breed Profile

Temperament: The Bombay cat breed is generally calm and docile. They adapt well to living in an apartment environment. The Bombay is the dominator in their home, they are more likely to take to a dog in the home then to accept another cat in their home!

The Bombay cat can be trained to do tricks and many of them are trained to walk on a leash! They are active, loveable creatures. This breed very much craves human attention, they will cuddle up under you comforters with you at night, they love body heat.

Care: Most Bombay cat’s have a hearty appetite and it is best to ration their food intake so they do not gain too much weight, too quickly.

The coat is very short and sheds very little. They require little to no maintenance. The Bombay will groom itself, however, a rubdown with the palm of your hand or a rubber brush will please him, as we mentioned they crave human interaction.

General Information: The Bombay cat breed has soft, glossy black coat and copper eyes that resemble that of a miniature black panther. The Bombay cat breed was developed from the Burmese cat breed and shares the muscular body type and loveable, playful temperament of the Burmese.
