Manx Cat Breed Profile
Temperament: Friendly, intelligent, affectionate and easy to train. Known as a domestic breed, but also a good hunter with quick reflexes. This breed is especially known for its longevity.
Care: Minimal grooming is needed to maintain the silkiness of fur.
General Information: The Manx is an old natural breed originating from the Isle of Man, an independent island situated in the Irish Sea in between Ireland and Britain.
This breed of cat is known for its robust and pleasingly friendly round face and rounded cheeks, which give it a jowl appearance, more so in the male cat than in the female. Manx’s are sturdy, compact, medium sized cats.
They are well muscled and balanced and have strong hind legs enabling them to jump and run extremely well.
The Manx is very attached to their family/master and enjoys inclusion in all the household activities. They love to play games and are very social creatures towards humans, other cats and dogs.
They are soft natured and sensitive. People whom have been owned by the magic of a Manx often will stick with this breed should they find themselves wanting or needing another cat.
