Ragdoll Cat Breed Profile
Temperament: Ragdolls have an extremely docile temperament; they enjoy the quiet indoor life, they have no fight or preservation instincts, they will not defend themselves.
Ragdolls are known for their mushy, relaxation tendencies and go limp when picked up, they love to be held and cuddled. They become very attached to their owners and family.
Care: Daily combing with the hands or a soft brush will keep the coat in good order and prevent tangles and matting of the fur.
General Information:The Ragdoll is originally from California in the 1960's although there have been other mentions.
Ragdoll kittens are born white and do not reach full color or size until they are about two years in age. They will reach full maturity size approximately around age three with females weighing 10-15 pounds and males reaching 15-20 pounds The weight may increase when the animal becomes neutered/spay.
The Ragdoll is a larger sized breed that is muscular and long. It has a huge chest and shoulder area. The eyes are a beautiful vivid blue. The legs on the Ragdoll are medium to long and the back legs are longer than the front. The coat is medium long to long and the fur is soft and silky.
